Pain – Pain comes from only one reason – you are doing something wrong. It is a warning that something is happening or about to happen, while you are interacting with support and through it with gravity.
Errors:
- Landing with the heel first.
- Heel striking with a straight leg
- Landing ahead of the body – over striding
- Using the quad muscles instead of the hamstrings – push off
- Landing on the toes with the body behind
- Landing with a stiff leg or ankle
- Active landing – forcing into the ground
- Overall muscle tension
- Active push toe off, straightening the leg to propel the body forward
- Holding the rear leg behind after leaving support with the other
- Leaning the trunk sideways or forward
- Keeping shoulders up and stiff
- Arms pumping
- Incorrect thinking – ones own commands
- Incorrect image – ones visualisation
- Incorrect feelings – muscles
